Again against my better judgment, we had a conversation about relationships in general and for what I thought was the first time, touched on what our wants are for the future, etc. He became non-communicative, and I didn't push the issue, figuring I'd give him space to think and decide on what he wanted to do with the relationship. The very next day, I made dinner for him, and we had a nice time (this being only the second date we had where we conscientiously did not have sex when we could have). Our life outlooks are very different; I would like another child - he doesn't want children; I would like to get married again - he says he doesn't believe in marriage and is divorced; and the issue of my children came up, where he says he isn't sure he can see himself in 'the' role. I have asked him to define what 'the role' is, and he won't say the words 'stepfather'.

People stand out because of their uniqueness which distinguishes them from the mediocre herd. I wasn't aware that being a follower of popular mainstream music is considered to be cool.
