You need to try a couple of things.

As in, if something better pops up he'll opt to do that instead? If it were something out of his control, such as having to go to work, I could understand. What does he do for work? He never told me that he went to this bar and he went when I was at work so of course now I am curious. Due to issues in our past, our relationship isn't perfect at the moment. But I always seem to get nervous the first few times with each new women I sleep with. This is actually one reason why I like to delay sex and have a ton of foreplay and tension built up. I find this cuts down on it considerably. I've never avoided sex with someone I was attracted to.

Sex doesn't just happen. There is no excuse. Yes you need to tell your girlfriend. If a girl is flirting with you, tell her you have a girlfriend and remove yourself from the situation.
