I tell him I have his number if we need to speak. I turned around and pretended to browse some stuff. So then my friend tells this guy I'm not interested. Then today awkward of all awkward I'm out and about and I SEE HIM. I headed for the hills. I made small talk and he asks me to "hang out this weekend" [with him or with him and our friend, I have no idea], and asks me for my number. I ask why he needs my number.

(and you'll know it's a good profile because you'll get dates from the free sites... So you can save your money for buying dinner) You'll get at least 5 different opinions about the relative merits of paid vs free sites.

It's up to you but definately put a deadline on some kind of seriousness happening in this relationship though. Afterall you are looking for a future father, not another roll in the hay. It was a stupid comment and while I agree it was probably his subconscious blurting out without a filter.
