If the other person really wants to be with you, it would be wise to give advance notice so he has the freedom to make preparations. Telling him day before leave isn't gonna work. I've had to risk relationships ending due to being forthright.

Also before we we're dating she was FWB with some guy. She's 19 and I'm 23. I texted her asking what she did last night, and she replied I stayed over at a friends house (hes straight). I did trust her but something happened recently that made me feel sickened. I've been together with my girlfriend for nearly a year and this is my first serious relationship. I told her this disturbed me, but she said he was just a friend and that they have never done anything before. My girlfriend is quite different from me, shes quite social with lots of friends, and I am more reserved but still this worries me.

We have so many things in common, know each other very well and can get along with each other easily. We've had fights, but they have always been easily solved.
