Should I keep talking to her? I noticed on her Facebook page that she doesn't mention a boyfriend. She has a LDR with a guy from back home. She has only one picture of them together and it's from a year ago. His Facebook profile pic is of them together two years ago. He is coming to stay with her this weekend. They dated in person for two years and since then it has been long distance. She never talks about him unless I mention him and then she gets angry. All of his pictures of them together are two years or older. She told me that she isn't interested in making it work with him but is scared to break his heart.

And I'm the subject of a lot of their jokes. Because of that, she doesn't want me to meet her mom because she's worried "she won't like you as much as I do" Apparently I came off as weird, awkward, and gay to them...

Yes, if you lack self-esteem, are poor at reading people or have basic poor people skills or you just lack basic common sense… I read so many tales here on OLD experiences and the circumstances are so crystal clear to everyone on the board but foggy as hell to the OP.

You have a choice to say no for feeling like this, especially when that other person is the cause. If not, then you will feel like this a lot (a even more intense) if you somehow get together. Think about how you feel when he goes silence on you. Do you like how that felt?
